The background picture was taken October 4, 2002. My plan is to update this picture about once a week and it may give you some idea as to our weather and growing conditions. It is the view from our ranch house and it overlooks the Three Hills Creek Valley. This was the driest year in 133 years. We baled our whole crop to get enough feed for the winter months. Then in mid August it started to rain and we got regrowth that produced more feed than the first crop. September 22 there was a killing frost and this morning we got our first snow fall.
